Brussels – June 22, 2010 – Zetes (Euronext Brussels : ZTS), the European leader in automatic identification solutions and services for goods and people, today announced it has been awarded a contract for the delivery of 9,500 mobile biometric kits for Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) in support of the 2011 presidential  elections.

The contract, made directly with the Congolese authorities and the Independent Electoral Commission (La Commission Electorale Indépendante or CEI), has a value of more than 30 million USD and is insured by the Belgian export credit agency Ducroire-Delcredere.

The kits, which will be delivered in the second half of 2010, will be used to update the 2005 electoral lists established for the 2006 presidential elections.

Zetes develops and supplies the software that allows biographic and biometric data to be recorded and provides the AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System) software necessary to identify and eliminate any duplicate entries. It also provides the equipment’s technical maintenance throughout the enrolment period.

Zetes will mobilise to assist the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the voter enrolment process in order for it to organise its elections in 2011.”

Additionally, the Group confirms it is definitely on track to achieve its 2010 objectives to improve on its 2009 results and aim to return to its 2008 level.
